Unable to Split Ticket

What This Means

This issue occurs when the split-ticket functionality becomes unavailable or fails to process on the POS. Based on the system requirements, this is typically caused by a ticket that has already been closed or paid out, a lack of explicit split-ticket privileges assigned to the user's account, or a local terminal synchronization and connectivity error.

How to Fix It

Please perform the following verification steps to identify and resolve the issue:

Step 1: Verify the Ticket Status

  • Open the ticket and ensure that it is currently open.
  • Confirm that the ticket has not already been paid or closed.

Step 2: Check User Permissions on the Dashboard

  • Access the management dashboard.
  • Verify that the user profile attempting the split has the required permissions enabled for split-ticket functionality.

Step 3: Investigate POS Sync Issues and Clear Cache

  • Test if the issue is isolated to a specific terminal by having the same user attempt to split the ticket on another POS device.
  • If the functionality works correctly on the other terminal, return to the original device, clear its cache, and try splitting the ticket again.
